CORTLAND, IL – A man is in the hospital because a driver collided with his golf cart early this morning.
WIFR reports that police were called to the scene of an accident on IL-38 west of Hahn Drive at 4:45 a.m. today.
They believe Timothy Sasse, a 56-year-old DeKalb resident, was headed east when he hit the back of an EZGO Golf Cart, sending it into a ditch.
Emergency responders rushed the golf cart’s operator to an area hospital. They identified him as Anthony Fidis II, 28, also of DeKalb.
Sasse received a citation, and his car had to be towed from the scene.
