AURORA, IL – Three people died yesterday morning as the result of a wrong-way collision on I-88, CBS News reports.

Police say that a woman was traveling east in the westbound lanes when she collided with an oncoming vehicle near mile marker 112.25 at about 4 a.m. on May 10.

All three occupants involved in the crash were transported to an area hospital, where they died.

Authorities have identified the wrong-way driver as a 32-year-old man from Melrose Park. They say the occupants of the other vehicle were both 21-year-old women from DeKalb.
