ADDISON, IL – A serious multi-vehicle crash shut down southbound Route 83 near Interstate 290 on Friday morning.
According to an ABC 7 report, the crash happened about a half-mile north of I-290. Officials closed the southbound lanes at 3rd Avenue as crews responded at the scene.
Authorities have not yet said what caused the crash or whether anyone suffered injuries, although there are reports of a damaged SUV at the scene.
