SLEEPY HOLLOW, IL – A young man was killed last Tuesday when his motorcycle collided with an SUV that turned in front of him.
Patch.com reports that the collision happened at the intersection of Randall Road and Technology Drive shortly before 6:50 p.m. on April 21.
Authorities say Caden Palka was headed south on Randall when he hit a northbound 2023 Subaru Forester that was making a left turn onto Technology. Emergency responders took the 21-year-old Algonquin native to Sherman Hospital, where he died.
Maya Sobolewski, the 22-year-old driver of the Subaru, was hospitalized at St. Joseph Hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police believe that reckless driving and speed may have been factors in the crash. The Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team has been helping them investigate.
