ROCKDALE, IL – Authorities say that a man died earlier this week after his vehicle collided with an oncoming semi cab in Rockdale.
WJOL reports that the collision happened on Route 6 near Brandon Road at about 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21.
Roberto Carlos Machado-Lopez, 41, was driving east on Route 6 when he crossed the center line for unknown reasons and collided head on with a bobtail semi.
Emergency responders took Machado-Lopez to Saint Joseph Medical Center – Joliet, where he died.
The truck driver was not hurt.
